LED curing
Since the beginning of 2009, Aarsleff Pipe Technologies has applied a completely new and thoroughly tested method for curing of Aarsleff CIPP Lining. We call this method LED. The method is attractive in terms of finances and environmental impact, and in future we will therefore focus extensively on further developing this method. LED is the English abbreviation of Light-Emitting Diodes. This new method was discovered through an intense development work. For years, light has been applied for many different types of curing processes. However, early on in the development process, we decided to develop an entirely new generation of light that would be more energy-saving and more efficient compared to existing types of light. The result was LED. We developed LED on the basis of the well-known Aarsleff CIPP Lining made of a resin-impregnated polyester liner. The development of LED means that we are now capable of providing an entirely new method for curing of laterals and industrial process pipes. Curing by means of LED offers great advantages. Diodes applied are highly efficient, and curing is thus very fast and that benefits both the environment and finances of a given renewal project. In addition to this, equipment involved takes up less space allowing us to renew pipes even under very poor access conditions. At present, we have three complete and highly sophisticated LED units. More are on the way, as we are experiencing a growing demand for this new curing method. |
