Sewer rehabilitation
Today, there are many methods and techniques for sewer rehabilitation, which enable a qualitatively high-class rectification of damage without excavation of the ground if corresponding constraints are observed. The rehabilitation of our wastewater facilities is a big challenge which can only be met through joint action by private owners and the Münchener Stadtentwässerung.

Special exhibition "Water is Future"
The special exhibition "Water is Future" gives an extensive overview of the threats facing water supplies and ways of protecting this vital resource. The information is attractively presented in five theme stations, a model of a protected drinking water catchment area, a guess-the-water-sound game, a "water man", quiz terminals and columns with backlit visuals. Here visitors learn about a wide range of topics, among them life in water, use of water, natural disasters, climate change, water in our cities and sustainable water management.

This is the slogan of the "Young Water Professionals' Lounge" - DWA-Junior Members and (Ex-) Participants of former YWP Programmes are invited to visit the YWP-Lounge during the 2012 IFAT ENTSORGA. Special Exhibition: Treasure Trove Cell Phone
On over 100 sqm, the special exhibition called "Treasure Trove Cell Phone" examines the cell phone, the raw materials contained within it, and the recovery processes. An interactive 3D jigsaw puzzle illustrates which raw materials are built into cell phones. At a series of action columns visitors find out how these raw materials can be recovered and which methods and processes are involved, from collection of old cell phones to extraction, processing and re-processing of the materials for further use.

Gut Marienhof wastewater treatment works
The Gut Marienhof wastewater treatment works was commissioned in 1989 following a construction time of five years and with an investment expenditure of 300 million Euros. With a treatment performance of 99 percent it is one of the most modern wastewater treatmentworks in Europe. The inauguration of the wastewater disinfection plant in August 2005 was a further milestone.
