  • BDE—Bundesverband der Deutschen Entsorgungs-, Wasser- und Rohstoffwirtschaft

    The BDE (Federation of the German Waste, Water and Raw Materials Management Industry) is the largest industry association for waste, water, and raw materials management. More than 500 volunteer delegates contribute their knowledge to its committees and working groups. This broad professional basis gives the BDE weight and means that it is a reliable interlocutor for the worlds of politics, industry, science, society, and the media. The BDE represents the interests of its members both before the German industrial umbrella organizations BDA (Confederation of German Employers' Associations) and BDI (Federation of German Industries) as well as the FEAD (European Federation of Waste Management and Environmental Services). Since it is represented in Brussels, the BDE contributes to developing European legislative procedures regarding competition, tax, and environmental policies as well as the circular economy for its members.

    The BDE's pavilion is designed as a full end-to-end solution predominantly for small and medium-sized enterprises. The BDE pavilion provides the following advantages:

    With over 4900 members, Fachverband Biogas e.V. (the German Biogas Association) is the largest biogas industry lobbying organization in Germany and Europe. Across Germany, it represents manufacturers, plant manufacturers, and agricultural and industrial biogas plant operators.     The FBS (German Association for Concrete Pipes and Reinforced Concrete Pipes) will be exhibiting for the third time together with its member companies at a 400 square meter stand.

    The German Association for Concrete Pipes and Reinforced Concrete Pipes was founded in 1987 by leading manufacturers in order to define a new product quality mark for concrete and reinforced concrete sewage pipes and tunnels. The FBS quality mark was formalized and is a recognized trademark. The FBS represents the interests of its members on DIN e.V. and DWA e.V. panels and committees.     ITAD (German Association of Waste-to-Energy Plants) represents the interests of operators and owners of thermal waste-to-energy plants (traditional municipal waste incinerators, refuse-derived fuel power plants, and sludge incinerators).

    ITAD is the association for almost all traditional German municipal waste incinerators and many RDF plants.   • RBV—Rohrleitungsbauverband

    The purpose of the RBV (Pipeline Construction Association) is to promote technology and knowledge in pipeline construction and in network services involved in water and sewage management, energy supply, and telecommunications. Since it was founded on June 21, 1950, the RBV has represented the interests of its some 600 members—contracting companies within the pipeline construction industry.

    Pipeline constructors must cover the entire spectrum of pipeline construction, and the association provides the necessary support for them to do just that. The association's areas of focus include cooperating on relevant technical rules and regulations, representing technical interests before authorities and other institutions, and providing members with qualifications by training their employees.

    Once again, IFAT 2016 in Munich will feature a Research & Education Area where colleges and universities can present their latest projects and research plans.

    The initiator and organizer of this joint exhibition stand is Prof. F. Wolfgang Günthert, a Professor for Sanitary Water Management at the Institute of Hydro Sciences at Bundeswehr University in Munich.

    Visitors who want to get an overview of the latest projects and visions in the environmental technology sector and learn more about education and training opportunities at various colleges and universities will have a chance to participate in intense discussions with industry experts.

    The area allows companies to gather information about the latest technologies and processes at participants' stands. They can also look for suitable partners for their research, education and training activities.

    As the export network for the German recycling and disposal industry, the key focus of RETech's (German RETech Partnership, Recycling & Waste Management) activities is to promote the use of sustainable environmental technology from the German circular economy abroad.     For the first time ever, the Air Pollution Control department of the VDMA (German Engineering Federation) will be exhibiting at a 150 square meters stand in Hall B3 alongside its member companies.

    The Air Pollution Control department of the VDMA currently accounts for 98 companies, which manufacture exhaust systems and exhaust units for a wide range of industries against the backdrop of occupational health and safety and environmental protection. The air technology and dust removal technology industry sector is constantly developing innovative technical solutions in order to meet legal requirements.     The VDRK (Association for Pipe and Sewer Technology Companies), which was founded in 1989 in Stuttgart, is the professional association for the pipe and sewer technology industry. It speaks on behalf of and represents the interests of companies involved in that industry.

    The VDRK currently has 450 members, but its numbers are rising. Its main functions include advising its members, imparting technical and legal information regarding pipe and sewer technology, actively encouraging the exchange of experiences, and promoting education and training.     The 1430 member companies of the VKU (German Association of Local Utilities) are primarily involved in energy supply, water and sewage management, and waste management and municipal cleaning. With 245,000 employees, in 2012 they achieved a turnover of around EUR 110 billion and invested approximately EUR 8.5 billion. The member companies have a market share in the end customer segment of 46 percent in electrical power supply, 59 percent in natural gas supply, 80 percent in drinking water supply, 65 percent in heat supply and 26 percent in sewage disposal. As the central association within the municipal industry, the VKU pools its interests and actively contributes to political decision making and the legislative process.     The BDE (Federation of the German Waste, Water and Raw Materials Management Industry) is the largest industry association for waste, water, and raw materials management. More than 500 volunteer delegates contribute their knowledge to its committees and working groups. This broad professional basis gives the BDE weight and means that it is a reliable interlocutor for the worlds of politics, industry, science, society, and the media. The BDE represents the interests of its members both before the German industrial umbrella organizations BDA (Confederation of German Employers' Associations) and BDI (Federation of German Industries) as well as the FEAD (European Federation of Waste Management and Environmental Services). Since it is represented in Brussels, the BDE contributes to developing European legislative procedures regarding competition, tax, and environmental policies as well as the circular economy for its members.

    The purpose of the RBV (Pipeline Construction Association) is to promote technology and knowledge in pipeline construction and in network services involved in water and sewage management, energy supply, and telecommunications. Since it was founded on June 21, 1950, the RBV has represented the interests of its some 600 members—contracting companies within the pipeline construction industry.

    Pipeline constructors must cover the entire spectrum of pipeline construction, and the association provides the necessary support for them to do just that.     Once again, IFAT 2016 in Munich will feature a Research & Education Area where colleges and universities can present their latest projects and research plans.

    The VDRK (Association for Pipe and Sewer Technology Companies), which was founded in 1989 in Stuttgart, is the professional association for the pipe and sewer technology industry. It speaks on behalf of and represents the interests of companies involved in that industry.

    The 1430 member companies of the VKU (German Association of Local Utilities) are primarily involved in energy supply, water and sewage management, and waste management and municipal cleaning. With 245,000 employees, in 2012 they achieved a turnover of around EUR 110 billion and invested approximately EUR 8.5 billion. The member companies have a market share in the end customer segment of 46 percent in electrical power supply, 59 percent in natural gas supply, 80 percent in drinking water supply, 65 percent in heat supply and 26 percent in sewage disposal. As the central association within the municipal industry, the VKU pools its interests and actively contributes to political decision making and the legislative process.
