Exhibitors Meet the Press
The Media Dialog will be held in the run up to IFAT 2018, giving exhibitors and journalists the chance to get together for two days packed full of expert discussions on the latest products, innovations, and trends within the industry.
What is the Media Dialog?
The Media Dialog is the highlight of the campaign ahead of IFAT 2018, with a focus on exhibitors and journalists sitting down together and talking. As a kind of “trade fair before the trade fair,” the Media Dialog provides the perfect platform for expert discussions.
Personal conversations give exhibitors the opportunity to tell the press about their latest products and publicize their appearance at the trade fair in plenty of time before the event opens its doors. For journalists from Germany and overseas, the Media Dialog is a one-off chance to gather information.
When and where?
The Media Dialog will be taking place on January 23 and 24, 2018 at the ICM–Internationales Congress Center München.
The Media Dialog will kick off with an opening event for exhibitors and journalists. The round-table discussions will then begin in Hall B0.
For exhibitors, the Media Dialog is the perfect time and place to reveal new products and an early opportunity to inform the media that they will be appearing at the trade fair. Attending the Media Dialog is an effective way to guarantee extensive coverage in the press.
Journalists will be able to meet a large number of IFAT 2018 exhibitors all in one place in two packed days, with the opportunity to see all the latest products and trends for themselves before the trade fair has even opened its doors.
On top of that, an evening of networking is planned for January 23, when attendees will be able to enjoy Bavarian delicacies in a laid-back atmosphere.
Who is invited?
All exhibitors appearing at IFAT 2018 can apply to attend the Media Dialog for a cost of EUR 820 (plus VAT) per table.
Messe München will be inviting journalists from September 2017 onwards (according to the terms of participation). Journalists who do not receive an invitation will still be able to pay to attend the Media Dialog. Journalists must be able to present a press pass and have an article published in their name in a relevant specialist publication.
The IFAT Press team can provide further details on the registration and invitation processes.
How many people attended in 2016?
At the joint Media Dialog for bauma and IFAT in 2016, there were around 230 exhibitors and 275 specialist journalists.
