  • Advance payment for services

    The advance payment (EUR 14 per square meter in the hall) refers to all services that you can order for the trade fair online via the exhibitor services in the Exhibitor Shop. This includes, for example, electricity, water, compressed air, and vouchers for client invitations. The fee is invoiced per square meter and is the same for all companies. The services actually ordered by you are offset against this advance payment fee in your final invoice — you either just pay the difference or you receive a credit note.

  • Artist / performer

    Are you planning an event at IFAT 2018? Do you need musicians, artists or models? The Placement Service for the Performing Arts Munich is part of the International Placement Services (ZAV) and will be glad to help you.

  • AUMA

    The Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) charges an amount of EUR 0.60 per square metre of rented exhibition space to all exhibitors. This amount is invoiced by Messe München GmbH and passed on directly to AUMA.

  • Booth party

    The time period for evening events is between 18:00 and 22:00.

    Up until 22:30 any clearing up that is required at your booth can be carried out, but all persons must have left the exhibition center by 23:00 at the latest.

    Please note that evening guests without a valid ticket to IFAT are only allowed on site from 19:00 onwards. We recommend you take account of this in your timing of the start of the event. In addition, guests without a valid ticket to IFAT will also need a letter of invitation to the evening event from you. They then have to present this letter at the turnstiles before being allowed to pass through.

    In order to get professional and reliable booth staff, you can contact the following three agencies:

  • Cancellation fee (for stand space)

    Cancellation fees will apply if you decide you no longer want your stand space once you have already confirmed the stand offer in writing directly to the exhibition management. The cancellation must be made in writing. If the stand can be rented to someone else, the cancellation fee will be 25 percent of the participation price. If the stand cannot be rented to someone else, 100 percent of the participation price will be charged. No cancellation fees will apply in the period between registration and the placement proposal.

  • Conference rooms

    Messe München features a great variety of conference and meeting locations which can be rented for presentations, meetings and events. Our Conference Room Services Team is available to assist you in the planning and realization of your event.

    It is possible to drive onto the grounds for one hour during the complete time of the trade fair (only until 12 noon on Friday, May 18, 2018) upon deposit of 100 EUR in cash (gross).
    If this time period is exceeded, the deposit is forfeited. For more information, please refer to the Traffic Guide (available starting from around March 2018).

  • Evening events at your booth

    Celebrations at your booth have to be registered in advance with the Traffic & Security Department and approved. The rules and important information plus a registration form can be found in the Exhibitor Shop online.

    With your email address and own password, you can log into the shop and order any services that you need. Via the Exhibitor Shop, you also get access to the platform of our catalog Publisher Neureuter Fair for your catalog orders.

  • Exhibitor passes (print@home tickets)

    Free exhibitor passes (print@home tickets) are for download in the Exhibitor Shop available after the full payment of the admission invoice has been received. Exhibitor passes are only given out for the use of the company’s own booth personnel; they are not to be passed on to third parties.

    Additional exhibitor passes can be ordered for a price of EUR 30 (net) per pass, online in the Exhibitor Shop under Passes and Tickets / Exhibitor Passes.

    Please note that exhibitor´s passes do not entitle the holder to free travel on local public transport (MVV). Tickets for local public transport can be ordered online in advance in the Exhibitor Shop under Passes and Tickets / Public Transportation.

    The premises of Messe München are guarded around the clock by the security company appointed by Messe München GmbH. We take the concerns of our customers regarding the current international security situation very seriously and are in permanent close contact with the relevant authorities. The latest recommendations are implemented immediately.

    Please note that the Exhibition Management accepts no responsibility for guarding your booth, your exhibits or other objects at your booth. To prevent the theft of valuables we recommend that you book a guard service for your booth. You can book this online in the Exhibitor Shop.

  • Set-up

    During the entire period of set-up and dismantling, NO exhibitor passes are needed to gain access to the exhibition center.

    Set-up starts on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 08:00. On the last day of set-up, Sunday, May 13, 2018, all delivery and set-up vehicles must be out of the hall area and the delivery courtyards by 18:00 at the latest.

    All the information about traffic regulations during set-up, the show itself and dismantling are contained in the Traffic Guide, online available up from March 2018.

  • Scan2 Lead

    The Scan2Lead enables you to process your customer contacts directly in digital form at your booth. You only need your own smartphone or tablet and can immediately start the scanning process.
    As a result, you have access to the contact information that the visitor entered with his registration and can save meeting notes with the respective contact directly.

    Celebrations at your booth have to be registered in advance with the Traffic & Security Department and approved. The rules and important information plus a registration form can be found in the Exhibitor Shop online.

    The time period for evening events is between 18:00 and 22:00.

    Up until 22:30 any clearing up that is required at your booth can be carried out, but all persons must have left the exhibition center by 23:00 at the latest.

    Please note that evening guests without a valid ticket to IFAT are only allowed on site from 19:00 onwards. We recommend you take account of this in your timing of the start of the event.   • Set-up

    During the entire period of set-up and dismantling, NO exhibitor passes are needed to gain access to the exhibition center.

    Set-up starts on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 08:00. On the last day of set-up, Sunday, May 13, 2018, all delivery and set-up vehicles must be out of the hall area and the delivery courtyards by 18:00 at the latest.

    All the information about traffic regulations during set-up, the show itself and dismantling are contained in the Traffic Guide, online available up from March 2018.

  • Scan2 Lead

    The Scan2Lead enables you to process your customer contacts directly in digital form at your booth. You only need your own smartphone or tablet and can immediately start the scanning process.

  • Pharmacy

    The medical service in the first aid stations accepts your orders and prescriptions and forwards them to the nearest pharmacy. For same-day delivery, prescriptions should be submitted by 12:30. Depending on availability, you can conveniently collect your medication as of 16:00, without ever leaving the exhibition grounds. The first aid stations are located in the West and East Entrances and on the north side of hall C4. The first-aid stations are staffed when the respective entrances are open for a given event.

    Exhibitors with parking permits valid for the duration of the show can park their cars in the designated exhibitor car parks and in the Parking Garage West.     The medical service in the first aid stations accepts your orders and prescriptions and forwards them to the nearest pharmacy. For same-day delivery, prescriptions should be submitted by 12:30. Depending on availability, you can conveniently collect your medication as of 16:00, without ever leaving the exhibition grounds. The first aid stations are located in the West and East Entrances and on the north side of hall C4. The first-aid stations are staffed when the respective entrances are open for a given event.

  • Parking

    Exhibitors with parking permits valid for the duration of the show can park their cars in the designated exhibitor car parks and in the Parking Garage West. These permits can be ordered online in the Exhibitor Shop under Permits and Tickets/Parking Permits, up to three weeks before the start of the show. Parking permits that cannot be sent out by post, for reasons of time, and further permits can be collected or purchased at the APCOA counter at the West and East Entrances.

We would appreciate your cooperation in this and ask that you answer the questions as fully as you can.

    The visitor survey will be carried out on all days of IFAT, on a mobile rotating basis, in all halls and the on the open-air site.

    Dismantling starts on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 16:00 and has to be finished by Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 18:00. Please remember you can only start dismantling on the last day of the show after 16:00, to ensure that all the visitors on the last day can make the most of their visit.
